Developing a Compelling Story – we will walk from idea to understanding the parts of all good stories, developing an interesting plot line, and fine tune each part of the story to make a great book.
Critiquing and Editing – we will learn how to critique a manuscript, practice critiquing each other's manuscripts, and learn about the types of editing each book needs.
Publishing Business – we will learn what the publishing business is all about, how to write query letters, learn about resources and types of publishing.
BONUS: Eventually, we will have a bi-monthly critique group made up of the students in the class. Each student will also receive helpful handouts and examples of documents to help them learn.

FAQs
What format is the class in?
This class will meet twice a month on Zoom. Students will have assignments to complete during the weeks between classes.
After we get started on our stories, we will begin critique group meetings twice a month as well.
The class meetings are live, not recorded lessons so student can interact and ask questions.
Who is this challenge for?
These classes are meant for teens, but exceptions may allow for younger students if the parents and teacher determine the child is mature enough for the class. Otherwise, an alternative Creative Writing class may be available for elementary-aged students.
This class is open to homeschool families, but others may apply. This class is a Christian class and will meet during the weekday morning.
